Septic tank from eurocubes
“The need for invention is cunning,” says an old Russian proverb. It is as a budget option that many summer residents consider a septic tank made from Eurocubes. Because There are a lot of used containers now and the price is generally not too bad, so why not use them for shit?!
I confess, I’m like that myself. Moreover, I even bought several Eurocubes with a reserve for these purposes too. But when I calculated how much money and labor would be required to offset the potential disadvantages of this scheme, I realized that the cheapness here is only apparent. And most will find out about this later.
So, firstly, only from the outside it seems that septic tanks are so durable, because... They can hold a whole ton of water. Those. withstand the pressure coming out. But completely different forces act on the Eurocube buried in the ground. Forces directed inwards! For which the Eurocube is NOT designed. Therefore, the result is obvious:
The frame of this Eurocube was torn apart by pressure from above. It will experience similar pressure if it is buried, say, under a meter layer of earth. A cubic meter of earth is approximately 2 tons of weight. Lateral forces act in approximately the same way, but somewhat weaker.
Secondly, in areas with a high groundwater level or in the spring, when water from melting snow abundantly saturates the upper layers of the soil, a lifting force acts on the half-filled Eurocube, the same as on iron ships at sea, forcing them to float. That is, the Eurocube will simply float up and, most likely, even the layer of earth poured on top will also rise.
Thirdly, the metal frame will sooner or later begin to rust. What will happen to him in 5 years? And in 10?
That's the total we have. The Eurocube must: a) be anchored to a concrete base (and this is concrete work); b) provide solid protection against lateral heaving forces; c) make a solid roof that can withstand the mass of soil being poured.
And now explain to me, where is the freebie? In total, you get hemorrhoids for a couple of months with an unpredictable result.
ps I am not at all saying that it is impossible to make a septic tank from Eurocubes. Can! If desired, you can also make it from liter glass jars. But why?!
Good and bad news
In the afternoon they called and deigned to immediately deliver two Eurocubes to me. “Today, so today,” I thought and went to the dacha to meet the cargo. On the way, I get a call that the first batch of tiles has already been loaded and will be delivered in just an hour. Luckily for them, I had enough money to pay.
I chained the cubes with a stainless chain onto the bear and put a lock on them, so it won’t be possible to steal them unless you work with an angle grinder:
I consider myself very lucky with the cubes. On the highway they cost up to 8,000 rubles. I found the cheapest ones for 4,500 rubles. And here, two for 2,000 + 500 rubles delivery - my toad is simply delighted.
We started unloading the tiles. They brought 55 square meters - 220 pieces. I didn’t immediately like the “orange” color. She's not fucking orange at all. The seller began to exhort that only Chinese dyes give a bright color and only for months, but I supposedly made you a better one, an ordinary dye, that’s how it appears.
It was evening, cold, and already noticeably dark, so I decided to postpone the debriefing until tomorrow.
I took a photo after unloading:
I’m sitting now reading forums and finding out that white stains on “orange” tiles are called efflorescence and to avoid them, you need to add Penetron Admix 0.1-1.5% by weight of cement. The color should be uniform and rich. The geometry is correct, i.e. no convexity on the front side and the thickness is the same on different edges.
In short, tomorrow in the light of day I will examine the tiles I brought and most likely will tell the seller the “pleasant” news that he can keep the second part of the order for himself.
1) Chain for a bear, i.e. for Eurocubes - 3 meters - 600 rubles. 2) Eurocube - 2 pieces + delivery - 2,500 rubles. 3) 55 squares of tiles - 15,000 rubles.
So, the main component of the tank of this sample is a combination of polymers that have the highest possible strength. Over the past year, this material has quickly gained popularity. It replaced many strong products, and most importantly replaced its other analogues, which of course made the life of consumers easier. In this case, the polymer is presented in the form of a standard type of polyethylene. There are cases when manufacturers try to make the product even stronger. In our case, this can be achieved by increasing the rigidity of the metal lattice. The lathing of this format should be located outside the entire product. In order for the structure to survive the winter as efficiently as possible, a special tray is attached to its bottom.
Due to the fact that the material is of a modern type, it is extremely light, which allows the entire product to weigh around several tens of kilograms. The plastic container includes a neck and a lid, which makes it easy to pour liquid into it, and this is also facilitated by the presence of a special type of valve. This, in turn, helps ensure that at least a small amount of air enters the product. In this case, much depends on the material that will be transported. The design also includes a flanged ball valve, which helps drain the contained liquid. The diameter of such a tap is about 30 cm.
Paralysis of the left side of the body after a stroke and its treatment
Have you been struggling with HYPERTENSION for many years without success?
Head of the Institute: “You will be amazed at how easy it is to cure hypertension by taking it every day.
The consequences of strokes, in which different hemispheres of the brain are affected, have significant differences and require different therapeutic and rehabilitation measures. If the lesion is in the right hemisphere, then paralysis of the left side of the body occurs. This type of stroke is more difficult to diagnose because the patient remains speechless. In this regard, there is a danger of late diagnosis, so recovery of the left side of the body is more difficult and takes longer. Early diagnosis and treatment are very important: if first aid is provided and the patient is taken to hospital within the first three hours, a stroke can have minimal consequences.
Signs of a right-sided stroke
The leading symptom of a stroke with a lesion in the right hemisphere is paralysis of the left side of the body. The main features are as follows:
Our readers successfully use ReCardio to treat hypertension. Seeing how popular this product is, we decided to bring it to your attention. Read more here...
- Impaired functioning of the facial muscles. In a right-sided stroke, the left corner of the mouth and the outer corner of the left eye droop.
- The left side is partially or completely paralyzed. There is a dysfunction of the musculoskeletal system and internal organs located on the left side.
As already mentioned, speech disorders are not observed, since the left half of the brain is responsible for this function. For this reason, the diagnosis is often made late, treatment is not prescribed in a timely manner, and the following clinical picture develops:
- Left eye paralysis.
- Hearing impairment.
- Impaired perception of the left side of the body. This may include determining the size of an arm or leg, as well as the distance to them. In addition, the left limbs and fingers do not obey.
If the left side is paralyzed, it means that the blood supply to the right hemisphere, which is responsible for emotions, creative inclinations, abstract thinking, and the integration of accumulated information, is impaired. Therefore, this condition is characterized by the following symptoms:
- Loss of orientation in space, absent-mindedness.
- Memory loss, partial loss of hearing, vision, touch.
- Inexplicable aggression, depressive states, inappropriate reactions and behavior, carelessness.
- Non-perception of colors.
Both hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes are characterized by some common symptoms: impaired consciousness, dizziness, vomiting, sudden headache, and difficulty breathing.
Brain symptoms are more pronounced in hemorrhagic stroke, which is explained by the effect on brain tissue of blood leaking from a burst vessel. The patient experiences severe headaches, sometimes with loss of consciousness, severe nausea, frequent vomiting, and severely impaired consciousness.
Ischemic stroke has less pronounced cerebral symptoms. In this case, neurological manifestations predominate, which depend on the location of the lesion.
If the motor center located in the area of the central gyri of the brain is affected, then paralysis or paresis develops, that is, one or both left limbs may be completely immobilized, or movements may be partially impaired.
If the focus is concentrated in the parietal region, sensory disturbances are observed, in which the sensations of pain, heat, and cold are absent or impaired on the left side.
Paralysis of the left side leads to disturbances in spatial perception. The patient cannot estimate the distance to objects and their sizes, this also applies to his own body. In addition, the perception of time and body diagram is disrupted, the patient ignores the left half of space.
You should know that if the right hemisphere of the brain is damaged, left-handers may not experience such signs.
Right-sided stroke in the elderly has its own characteristics due to advanced vascular diseases. This is slow thinking, deterioration of memory and attention, narrowing of the range of interests. Treatment and recovery in this case is difficult and progresses very slowly.
Difficulties in treatment and recovery after stroke with left-sided paralysis
Patients who have suffered a stroke, which resulted in left-sided paralysis, are passive in relation to rehabilitation measures, since their perception of their own body is distorted. They do not feel motor disturbances, do not strive for recovery, and the period of immobility is more protracted. With such indifference of the patient, rehabilitation is difficult, the recovery period after a stroke is too long, and the effectiveness of the measures is reduced because of this.

For cognitive impairment, nootropil, cerebrolysin, gliatilin, as well as some antidepressants without sedation, such as fluoxetine, imipramine, are prescribed.
Rehabilitation measures after a stroke consist of massages, therapeutic exercises, and physiotherapeutic procedures. Invaluable help can be provided by loved ones who will constantly encourage the patient to undergo treatment. A right-sided stroke requires the mandatory intervention of a psychotherapist.
In terms of its design, the Eurocube is a polymer-based container, which is made in the shape of a cube. It is no coincidence that these products are often used in various facilities, including car washes, construction sites and oil and chemical industry facilities. The reason for this is due to the high strength characteristics of the material used for this design. At the same time, ordinary citizens often resort to this device.
Characteristics of the “Eurocube flask”
For people who want to purchase this product, both new products and those that have already been used before are of particular interest. The use of previously used products is justified by the fact that the design remains suitable for use even after two uses. In this case, the so-called Eurocubes can be of two types, for example:
- For storage of food-type products. This may include ethyl alcohol, vegetable oil or vinegar;
- And, of course, for storing non-food products. Experts include alkalis and different types of acids here.
Eurocube - types
Today, the market offers many models of Eurocubes, which have different dimensions, material and volume. But, despite these features, it is still possible to highlight the general characteristics of these units:
- Outer packaging. Most often, it has a rigid base and is made in the form of a sheathing and a pallet made using steel. Some models may have a wooden or plastic tray. The purpose of a particular device is of decisive importance here.
- Form. The vast majority of these products are made in the form of a cube.
- Material. To manufacture the Eurocube, durable high-density low-density polyethylene is used, and most often it is PE 100.
- Wall thickness. The proposed Eurocubes may have walls whose thickness can be in the range of 1.5-2 millimeters, which is also determined by the purpose of the product.
- Color. The traditional design is white, but if desired, this structure can be painted in any other shade.
- Tap. Most often, containers are equipped with a piston valve, the disadvantage of which is a shorter service life.
Depending on their purpose, Eurocubes can be classified into the following types:
- food. They are used for food storage purposes, the latter usually being ethyl alcohol, vinegar, oil, etc.;
- technical. They serve as a container for storing and transporting substances such as alkalis, acids, fuel, etc.
In our country, a limited number of companies are engaged in the manufacture of such products. However, even such a small assortment ensures them great popularity among consumers. The reason for this is ease of use and great functionality.
Where and what are they used for?
Containers of this sample combine a number of functions. In addition to many production enterprises, such products are used in standard dachas.
For standard consumers, the most understandable name for this product is Eurocube. In official language, experts called it an IBC container. This is justified by the fact that, first of all, its actions should be aimed at transporting various types of liquid.
Containers made from this type of plastic are extremely unique, because they dominate in a number of their parameters. First of all, the dominance lies in transportation and the simplicity of this process.
A very universal product is considered to be a cube, the capacity of which reaches one cubic meter. It can be very actively used by companies with a large turnover, or even by ordinary residents.
We must not forget a number of positive qualities of this product, because the container actually has too many direct advantages in its position. It is important to note that the material of this design is not exposed to any harmful substances. You also need to know that the material perfectly resists pressure and atmosphere. Such qualities are provided to this product due to a specific method of inflation. Among other potential technologies, it is of the highest quality.
There are scenarios where it is advisable to use these containers as recycled material. But, in this case, it is important to pay attention to the fact that if toxic substances with a high concentration of chemicals were previously stored, then in the future this container cannot be used to accumulate water for irrigation. This is justified by the fact that while this material is inside a plastic container, chemicals penetrate into the plastic fabric.
Undoubtedly, it is more advisable to use a container that has not previously been used for transporting or storing aggressive substances. It is better to use the structure in which non-aggressive liquids were stored several times. In this case, the washing process allows you to remove almost all possible residues of substances. It is especially advisable to use a container for transporting water for subsequent watering, or for carrying out a number of events with a similar type of liquid. In this case, there is simply no need to purchase a new type of Eurocube. In fact, it is extremely common to find advertisements for the sale of this type of product in a used condition. In this case, you seriously save your immediate funds. If you are categorically against using the old type of containers, you can purchase one. But at the same time, you must be prepared for the fact that the cost of such a product will be at a very high level.
Automatic watering system from a Eurocube - part 1, preparatory
May and the first half of June this year turned out to be warm and dry, which means all our plantings need good watering. Our well is at a depth of 35 meters - the water comes out from there at a temperature of about 10-11 degrees - plants do not like such cold water at all, which means we need an intermediate container for heating. The Eurocube is perfect for this. I bought a transparent one on a metal tray from under the primer (of which I also drained 5 liters before washing))). The issue price is 3500 rubles.
Use of used Eurocubes on the farm
Such products have gained their immediate popularity due to the increased degree of convenience, as well as a high degree of functionality and a very long service life. If you have your own home outside the city, then it will definitely not be superfluous for you to have a container that can store 1000 liters of water. Such a container will always be useful on the farm. After all, having filled it with water, it can warm up during the day, and in the evening you can water the garden with it. Often, such a product is used to implement a number of tasks, for example:
- First of all, this should include watering the garden. If this method is for you, then you should definitely buy an additional pump in addition to it. When considering its location, the container itself must be placed at a height. You won't have any difficulties climbing it. This is justified by the fact that the material that is provided for its manufacture does not have too much weight. Thus, the entire structure can be easily lifted by two people. A pump can be used to fill or empty this barrel. There is another option, because if you have enough time on your hands, you can fill this container using a water tap. A hose is additionally connected to it, and its other end is immersed in the hole of the tank from above. In this case, the main thing is not to leave this tap open and then forget about it;
- The second option for using the tank is an outdoor shower. The design of the container itself allows its water to heat up very quickly, especially in hot weather. This is based on the polymer material of the product itself. If the air temperature is optimal, then it will take only a few hours to heat the water. Also in this case of use, the Eurocube can display a summer shower cabin. This can be built by removing the pallet from it. Again, in order for water to flow there efficiently, it is simply enough to connect the hose, so that it can be connected or disconnected if necessary;
- Construction sample septic tank. As you might have guessed, a product called Eurocube can easily serve as a septic tank. In order to build it, you don’t have to spend effort, and most importantly, money;
- Accumulation of water to meet your daily needs. If you have a car, then from time to time you have to wash it and often do it at home. In the case of such a country house and a water tank, you can seriously save your money. This also applies to a number of other water needs. For children, this can serve as an excellent filler as a swimming pool. It has a lot of space, and you can get water quickly and easily.
Typical sizes
Like many other containers, the Eurocube has its own standard dimensions. If you purchase such a container, all the dimensions necessary for a person to transport liquid will be indicated at the top and bottom, by which you can understand whether it is suitable for you or not. Below we will indicate a typical tank size of 1,000 liters.
Dimensions of a 1000 liter container:
- length - 1200 +/- 10 mm;
- width - 1000 +/- 10 mm;
- height - 1160 +/- 10 mm;
- volume - 1000 liters (possibly 50 liters more, this is quite acceptable);
- weight - 53 +/- 10 kg.
All companies producing Eurocubes strictly monitor their sizes. That is why when purchasing it will be easy to navigate and calculate how many containers you need.
