The new “Rules for the certification of welders and welding production specialists PB-03-273-99”
provide for:
1. Requirements for the minimum work experience in the specialty required for a welder to be admitted to primary certification.

The application must contain the following information: a) full name of the customer organization, its postal and telegraph address, telephone and fax (if available); b) the outgoing application number and the date of its sending to the certification point; c) last name, first name and patronymic of the candidate, year and date of birth in full; d) work experience in welding and qualification category according to OKZ must correspond to the entries in the candidate’s work book; e) The objects for which the certified candidate will weld must be listed (according to the list of groups of dangerous technical devices approved by UNTS NAKS
dated June 14, 2000).

i) the application must be signed by the financial manager of the customer enterprise (general director, director, first deputy general director, etc.). The application is accepted in two identical copies, one of which, after registration with the GAC VSR,
is returned to the Customer along with an agreement to pay for the work for certification, and the second remains in the personal file of the candidate for certification.
The following required documents must be attached to the application:
2.1. A copy (photocopy) of the welder’s work book, certified by the signature and seal of the HR department of the customer’s organization and having the final phrase: - “... and is still working”; 2.2.Copy (photocopy) of the document on general education, certified by the signature and seal of the HR department of the customer organization; 2.3. A copy (photocopy) of a document on special education in welding (GPTU diploma, welder’s certificate, etc.), certified by the signature and seal of the HR department of the customer organization; 2.4. Medical certificate (or its certified photocopy) about the health status of the certified candidate, which must indicate that he can work as a welder. The certificate can be recognized as valid if it is issued within six months before the date of filing the application for certification. 2.5. Two photographs measuring 3x4 cm. For candidates certified for several welding methods, photographs (two copies) are provided for each method (certificate). All of the above documents for each candidate being certified must be in a separate folder (vinyl corner). After consideration and processing of applications, the Customer is sent a contract, an invoice for payment and information about the timing of the special. training and certification.
