If you already own a welding machine and work as a welder, but do not know how to weld with argon or do not have enough skills, we suggest that you take a separate course on argon welding.
Argon welding is one of the most popular types of modern welding. Most often, the argon-arc welding technique is used in relation to aluminum, as well as products made from it. Argon welding is widely used in car repair, in particular, wheel rims.
The course “Argon welder” (qualification: welder of manual arc welding with a non-consumable electrode in shielding gas, 4-5 category) consists of 2 stages:
- theory in the training center
- industrial practice. We have over 80 practice options located in every area of the city. We have concluded agreements with all organizations, which you can view at any of our branches. After completing the training, you will receive an argon welder certificate with a discharge.
Also pay attention to our free trainings “Effective Employment” and “Career Guidance or Your Dream Job”, information about which can be read in the Employment section.

- 1st category - a specialist works with plastic products, performs simple welding work on parts and bags.
- 2nd category - the worker reads diagrams and has plasma and arc welding skills.
- 3rd category - a person performs all types of tasks, the emphasis is on manual and arc welding.
- 4th category - in addition to arc and manual welding, oxygen cutting of parts of increased complexity is performed.
- 5th category - welding work is carried out on parts and vacuum units.
- 6th category - the welder performs all work without exception, being considered a general specialist.
In short-term welding courses, it is possible to gain basic knowledge to start in the profession and improve your level. Mastering a sought-after specialty allows you to take the desired position, receive a competitive salary, and build a career.
The welding profession is divided into several subtypes, these include: gas welders and electric welders, thermite welding and manual welding, welders involved in the field of electron beam welding installations and welders of diffuse welding type installations, as well as welders working on press welding equipment.
A welder's certificate is required regardless of the chosen profession. The activity requires compliance with proper safety regulations, which applies to the processes of welding pipelines and containers, assemblies and structures, various types of products and parts. Also, this is determined by their type, purpose and level of complexity. Each welder must have an appropriate level of professional knowledge related to the scope of qualification training in combination with theory and practice. This confirms not only the presence of specific skills, but also the corresponding welder’s certificate.

Features of the profession of an argon welder
Argon welding technology allows you to connect elements from different metals. During the work, no sparks are generated and an invisible weld is formed. In this regard, the popularity of argon welding is constantly growing. Qualified specialists working with this technology will always be able to find vacancies with decent wages.
There are 5 categories in the argon operator profession. Initially, a specialist is assigned rank 2, which can then be increased once a year until he reaches rank 6. The specialist level determines the list of jobs available to him.
- Level 2 – reading simple drawings, preparing products for welding, protecting the reverse side of the weld, welding and fusing simple parts (bottom, vertical seam);
- 3rd category - work with elements made of structural steels, alloys, non-ferrous metals (simple parts), carbon steel - elements of medium complexity (for example, frames, brackets, insulation elements of water-tube boilers, metal furniture, etc.);
- 4th category – welding in any weld positions of complex elements made of carbon steel, medium-complexity parts made of cast iron, structural steel (gas exhausts, mufflers, masts and other structures made of aluminum and its alloys, etc.);
- 5th category – work with elements of any complexity with any seam position; welding of structures located in difficult conditions (heat exchangers with pressure less than 4 MPa, propellers, various types of pipelines, etc.);
- 6th category – all of the above types of work, as well as welding of experimental structures (pipelines, heat exchangers, water desalination plants and other equipment operating under pressure).
IMPORTANT! Argon type welding is in great demand when working with unique and difficult to process metals and alloys, such as titanium.
The demand for the profession in question increases self-confidence and self-esteem. You will stop doubting your own future, since our state will need welders for decades - until they are replaced by robotic welding systems and other technologies. Until then, you will always find yourself a working one without any problems.

Who needs to take NAKS training?
All welding production workers applying for NAKS certification undergo training. In general, they are divided into 4 groups, according to skill level.
Workers receiving level 1 are specialists with at least 6 months of experience in welding production and applying for the “NAKS welder” level.
Level 2 is received by those employees who have the right to give instructions that other employees must follow. They receive the qualification “master welder”.
The next 3rd level is received by specialists whose responsibilities are the development, approval, and control of welding processes. They are awarded the qualification “welder-technologist”.
The last category of specialists is the management team and engineers of welding production, on whose signature the approval of all documentation necessary for performing surfacing and welding works depends. Their qualification is “welding engineer”.
