The plastic bracket, funnel and connector are attached to the front board using self-tapping screws. The gutter is secured in the bracket as follows:
- First, the edge of the edge of the gutter that is closest to the frontal board is inserted into its clamp, after which it is lowered into the bracket receiver and, pressing strongly at the clamping point on the opposite edge, the edge is inserted into the clamp until a click appears.
- the brackets are placed at the level of the cord, which is pulled between the funnel and the final support, and the height difference between these points should provide a slope of up to 3 mm per unit length.
Important With this method of fastening, the junction of the board with the roof must be strengthened to prevent it from being pulled out when loaded with snow.
This option is used for roofs with a small sheathing pitch.
- First, the brackets are attached to the roof structure.
- The edge of the gutter closest to the roof is placed under the hook of the support and lowered into its receiving socket, the clamping bar is bent and the opposite edge is fixed.
- The height difference is ensured by bending the bracket at the calculated location.
- As the intermediate brackets move away from the final one, the distance between the end of the supporting part and the bending point should be reduced.
This is an option for roofs with large sheathing pitches. The fold lines of the extensions should be at the same distance. The bend point is located no closer than 1 cm from the point where the clamping plate of the bracket is secured or from the end of the slot in the extension.
How to ensure the optimal position of drainage elements relative to the roof
- The roof overhang is placed on the gutter at a distance of 30–50% of its diameter.
- The gap that needs to be maintained between the support, its upper part and the continuation line of the roof is 25–30 mm. This is achieved by bending the end metal bracket (extension) or moving the plastic one.
How to ensure stability against deformation under vertical loads
- The spacing of the gutter brackets should not be more than 600 mm.
- The funnel must be secured at two points (respectively, two extensions/supports).
- The gutter connector is fixed at one point (extension/support, respectively).
- The distance between the end part of the corner element and the nearest bracket is up to 150 mm.
- The distance between the plug and the nearest bracket is no more than 250 mm
How to compensate for linear thermal expansions
- The gutter is installed in the mating elements until the inscription “Insert until now” is reached - microstops are formed along the edges of the line for ease of installation.
- Between the end surface of the plug and the structural elements of the house, a distance of 30 mm is maintained.
Errors when constructing a drainage network
The instructions are the theoretical basis for installation, but the human factor is still inherent and the following shortcomings often arise after the work has been done:
- Sagging of gutters - increasing the installation pitch of fasteners (more than 75 cm);
- Overflow of water - failure to maintain the central axis relative to the gutter and plastic holders;
- Spraying water - a large distance between the edge of the roof and the gutter;
- Ineffective removal of precipitation - non-compliance with the standard angle of inclination of gutters (less than 5 cm per 10 m of drainage product).

Features of operation
- Döke gutters do not require special care; only periodic inspection and cleaning is sufficient.
- It is advisable to clean the gutter, mesh and pipes themselves (for example, with water from a hose).
- When cleaning the gutter, do not rest the ladder on the edge of the gutter.
Types of systems
These advantages lead to great demand for drainage systems of this type. The manufacturer currently produces two main varieties:
- The “Standard” system is optimally suited for small buildings, including country houses. The system includes gutters with a diameter of 120 mm and pipes with a diameter of 85 mm, as well as various additional elements: funnels, couplings, corner adapters, mounting brackets and so on. Gutters of the “Standard” type are available in the following colors: chocolate, ice cream, kiwi, banana;
Deke drains "Standard" type
- The Deke Lux system is intended for large buildings and is distinguished by the use of pipes and gutters of larger diameter (100 mm and 141 mm, respectively), as well as structural reinforcement, which allows it to withstand greater amounts of precipitation, including snow.
Drainage system for buildings with large roof surfaces
The “Standard” and “Lux” systems differ in price. Due to the use of smaller diameter pipes in a standard system, its cost is also reduced.
The “Lux” system, in turn, is distinguished by the possibility of independently developing a design, since the manufacturer produces a large number of different elements that fully match the parameters.
